Growing interest in virtualized network functions (VNF) has led to expanded testing of network equipment in environments using network function virtualization (NFV), software defined networking (SDN), and orchestrated service chaining. This report summarizes the 2016 public interoperability testing by the European Advanced Network Test Center (EANTC) and New IP Agency (NIA). All the tests in this report were conducted by generating traffic using physical and virtual Ixia test equipment.
