Patch for Network Analyzer 3.0.100.29 on Windows XP (for other operating systems, use the InstallAnywhere version of the patch). Resolves a data timestamp issue that becomes visible when the PC clock reaches January 14, 2004. All data captured receives incorrect timestamps starting from the year 1970. This incorrect timestamp causes the application measurements to function incorrectly. To patch J6802A/J6805A units, please contact Keysight for a complete recovery CD - 1-800-829-4444.

Instructions for Windows XP

  1. Save the file anywhere on the hard disk
  2. Open My Computer and browse to the file
  3. Right click on the file and select "Extract All..."
  4. The "Compressed Folders Extraction Wizard" dialog opens. Click Next.
  5. The "Select a Destination" dialog opens, with a line labeled "Files will be extracted to this directory:"
    Change the default to wherever you installed Network Analyzer.
    For the default Network Analyzer installation, enter C:\Program Files and click Next.
  6. You should get the dialog "Confirm File Replace"
    Click "Yes to All"
    Files will be replaced under C:\Program Files\Keysight or wherever your software was installed
  7. Extracton completes

To Test the installation

  1. Start the Select LIM dialog: it says "Current Software Version: 3.0.100.030"
  2. Connect to your LIM. You will be advised that 2 files will be replaced.
    Click OK.
  3. After the LIM update, the Network Analyzer UI will start.
    Select Help->About Network Analyzer: the version will show 3.0.100.030
