Use these tools to administer floating licenses on a license server. The download includes lmadmin, lmgrd, lmutil, lmtools, etc.

License Server Manager is one of the components that makes up a license server (the other being the vendor daemon). It handles the initial contact with FlexEnabled applications, passing the connection onto the appropriate vendor daemon.

The purpose of the license server manager is to:

  • Start and maintain vendor daemons as required for serving license rights from different software publishers.
  • Refer application checks (or other) requests to the correct vendor daemon.
