Keysight Showcases Real-World V2X Innovation at ITS World Congress 2025

Keysight brought vehicle-to-everything (V2X) innovation out of the lab and onto city streets at this year’s ITS World Congress, proving the technology is ready for real-world deployment.

The company’s live demonstration featured the WaveBee Touch, a handheld tool designed for visualizing, recording, and analyzing V2X messages. During the event’s Day One Deployment District in downtown Atlanta, Keysight showcased how connected mobility can make urban environments safer by capturing and displaying personal safety messages (PSMs) from nearby pedestrians in real-time.

V2X technology enables vehicles to “see” beyond drivers’ and sensors’ line-of-sight, sharing critical information between cars, infrastructure, and vulnerable road users. Thus, enabling safer and smarter mobility in real-time. PSMs improve road safety by enabling the broadcast of critical information to nearby vehicles and infrastructure. They convey real-time information about road conditions, pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, emergency responders, and road workers to help drivers and infrastructure detect and respond in real-time.

At the demonstration near Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Keysight logged live PSMs from pedestrians and displayed their locations on a live map. The system collected 16 smart traffic signals, 15 roadside units, and six LiDAR sensors, offering a glimpse of how vehicles and infrastructure can work together to reduce accidents and congestion in bustling city centers.

“Our demonstration at ITS World Congress showcased the real-world capabilities of V2X technology. By capturing and visualizing live pedestrian safety messages, we’ve reinforced how V2X extends situational awareness,” said Thomas Goetzl, Vice President and General Manager of Keysight's Automotive and Energy Solutions. “WaveBee Touch is a critical enabler for validating next-generation mobility systems and accelerating the deployment of software-defined vehicles.”

Beyond WaveBee Touch, Keysight highlighted a full ecosystem of V2X solutions, including:

  • 5G NR-V2X: Non-Signaling (RF/PHY Layer) and partial Signaling (protocol and application layer) testing.
  • MEC Integration: Low-latency communication via telecom platforms.
  • WaveBee Toolchain: Lab-to-field V2X testing and validation.
  • UXM 5G Platform:  Enable C-V2X testing from the physical layer, protocol layer (CAICT and OmniAir) to the application layer.

For V2X adoption to succeed, performance, interoperability, and public trust are critical. Keysight’s real-world demonstrations at ITS World Congress 2025 showed how these technologies are evolving from abstract concepts into practical, field-ready tools.

As cities prepare for a future of connected and automated mobility, solutions like WaveBee Touch are set to play a central role in bridging the gap between innovation and deployment — ensuring the roads of tomorrow are not just smarter, but safer.
