This page contains the files and instructions necessary for our customers to upgrade any Keysight E4310A (8147 Series) OTDR to the latest version of firmware. Upgrading to the latest version ensures that you have all the latest features and are creating measurements that conform to the latest standards. The firmware can be used to update the following products:
- Keysight E4310A
You can check to see which firmware revision you have when the OTDR is on by finding and pressing the "Config" softkey and selecting "About" at the bottom of the popup menu. 2 versions of software will be reported. One for the E4310A Mainframe and the other revision refers to the firmware for the OTDR plug-in module.
Instructions
- Download the firmware version you need from below.
- For further upgrade informations refer to the readme.txt file that will exist after executing the self extracting file.
To download the firmware revision 4.3:
- Download the self extracting file to your PC''s hard disk by clicking on "E4310A (8147)Firmware Download Rev 4.3"
- Execute the file Update.exe. A new directory will be created, into which the contents of the execute file will be extracted.
NOTE: If you have an earlier Revision than 2.01, you must first upgrade to Rev 2.01 before you can install the latest revision (Rev 4.3).
