Keysight 70909A RF部分提供100Hz至26.5GHz的覆盖。该RF部分由Keysight 71209A频谱分析仪使用。二极管对混频器提供较低的转换损耗，使频谱分析仪具有适应基波混频设计的灵敏度。在第一级混频器（在微波路径中）前使用内置前置放大器也改进了灵敏度。对于毫米波测量，该RF部分包含连接外部混频器所需要的额外开关和信号，其中有Keysight 11974系列预选混频器。Keysight 70909A选件Z40使用这一能力，通过集成使预选混频达到40GHz。为接到外部混频器，经切换的LO连到前面板。后面板输出包括3至6.6GHz LO，以及321.4MHz和21.4MHz的IF。频谱分析仪在模块内调整增益，保持输入衰减器功率输出与IF输出间的固定关系。
