Overview of the TAA

 

The Trade Agreements Act (TAA) restricts U.S. federal buyers from procuring products made in certain countries that have not entered into a trade agreement with the U.S. TAA applies to services when these services are sold with supplies at certain dollar thresholds or under government wide acquisition contracts, like General Services Administration (GSA) or NASA Scientific and Engineering Workstation Procurement (SEWP).

 

The Federal Acquisition Regulation lists TAA designated countries in the 52.225-5 Trade Agreements.

 

TAA-Only Support Service

 

Keysight is making it easy for customers and partners to do business with U.S. federal agencies, by introducing a TAA-Only Support Service

 

All Keysight products (both TAA and non-TAA) come with our excellent support from Keysight locations worldwide. The TAA-Only Support Service is available as an upgrade for customers who wish to limit their support experience to only TAA designated country locations

 

The TAA-Only Support Service ensures that

 

• Technical support requests (via phone, email, customer portal) are routed to support teams located in the United States or TAA designated countries.

• New feature software upgrades, service pack enhancements, bug fix patches and emergency hot fixes are delivered from a TAA designated country.

• Customer portal is hosted on a server location in a TAA designated country.

• RMA process – hardware replacement units undergo “substantial transformation” in the United States or a TAA designated country before being shipped to customers.

 

Availability and Ordering Information

 

The TAA-Only Support Service is available as an upgrade to Keysight network test and visibility solutions support, all support levels.
